Western Michigan has added another weapon to the Bronco arsenal, signing international talent Troy Lindsay. A Toronto native and natural goal scorer, Lindsay, a product and stand out of Global Satellite Soccer Academy (GSSA), has played on youth premier teams in Canada and England, as well as on the U20 Jamaican National Team.
Lindsay was born in Toronto where he began his elevated club level with Kleinburg Nobelton and subsequently Vaughan Azzuri. However, it was at GSSA where he furthered developed his game and it was GSSA (www.gssacademy.ca) that facilitated his recruitment by the Bolton Wanderers FC International Program during the Academy’s 2013 Elite Academy tour of England. Troy moved to Bolton, England and for the past 2 years played with Bolton Wanderers FC Internationals. He received the Golden Boot as the team’s top scorer in 2013-14 with 16 goals in 23 games. This past season in 2014-15, he amassed 24 goals in 30 games. Lindsay attributes much of his success back to his mother, Elaine Medley-Murray, who raised him as a single mother. Lindsay will study criminal justice at WMU.
